Telehealth services I offer

Child therapy

My child therapy services are available for toddlers, elementary-aged children, and preteens. I use methods that are specifically designed for little ones (such as play therapy) to help your child feel comfortable being their authentic self.

Teen therapy

Many teens can benefit from having a safe, private space to explore their feelings and process the challenges that come along with adolescence. Teen counseling can help adolescents who are struggling with peer relationships, mental health issues, or other challenges. My services are also open to older teens and young adults.

Parent coaching

Parenting doesn't come with a guidebook. Even with your best efforts, it can still be difficult to support your little one. In parent coaching, we'll work together to find the tools that are right for helping you and your family thrive.

Why choose Light Minds Therapy

I customize sessions to each client's needs.

Each person's journey is unique, so I tailor the therapeutic process to each client's specific needs and goals. At your first visit, we'll create a plan to ensure that you get the most out of our time together. We'll also continue to check in throughout the entire process.

I focus on the therapeutic relationship.

Tools and techniques are important, but I believe that the most healing comes from the therapeutic relationship. When you feel completely seen and supported by another person, deep transformation can take place. We'll build rapport to make sure that you feel empowered to express yourself authentically.

I also provide in-home sessions in Santa Monica.

Many people enjoy virtual therapy for the convenience it offers. Sometimes, however, speaking in person can be a better fit. I also provide in-home services to people in the greater Los Angeles area, including those in Santa Monica.

FAQs about online counseling

  • Yes! Research (like this study and this study) has shown that online therapy is a viable alternative to in-person therapy.

Online therapy eliminates the need to commute to in-person appointments, which can save on time, money, and energy. Plus, many people prefer to discuss sensitive issues from their own home, where they already feel comfortable and secure.

Online sessions also broaden your options for which therapists you can work with. Even though I'm based near Santa Monica, virtual therapy allows me to work with people across the state of California.

  • Yes! All of my sessions take place over a HIPAA-compliant video platform to ensure that your privacy is protected.

If you have more questions about confidentiality or how online therapy works, I encourage you to reach out directly. I'm happy to share more information and address any concerns you have.

  • If you need free or low-cost therapy, I recommend reviewing this resource list from the West Los Angeles chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

I have partnered with Mentaya to help my clients access their out-of-network benefits, which can provide a significant reimbursement for therapy sessions. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale slots. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to inquire about my availability for reduced-cost appointments.
